When do you replace your calipers?

Hey,

I have a could of questions about calipers.

How many miles do you get out of your calipers before they need to be replaced?
What was the measurement of the old calipers when you replaced them?

Replaced the rears as they were seized - previous owner never used the handbrake!

Rotors should be replaced and possibly the front calipers should be rebuilt - but not for quite some time.

The measurement of the calipers is static. The rotors will get smaller with use.

You really never have to replace them

but once in a while you rebuild them.

There are no measurements on the calipers. If they leak, or stick, you rebuild them. Most of the time, if you change your pads & bleed the brakes, you can go 15+ years with out a rebuild!
