>not me!< I think it is more noticable when you downsize. Not logical but it's imo.

Not exactly sure what you mean by downsizing. Explain please.

Default Not directly refering to brakes, but the only time I hear a comment on performance is when someone..

downsizes rims. Typically, I think there is a denial effect when someone shoots a big wad on expensive gigantic rims, the last thing they *want* to percieve is reduced performance, that is why nobody says so. The only time i hear a comment is like i said, when someone puts on their winter or other lighter wheels and says "wow".

Another reason to keep the 16's or 17's - they're lighter AND faster.

the gain is braking performance IMO outweigh whatever little loss in acceleration

Default What makes you say that?Even*if*there was more "braking performance"a slower car that brakes better?

Counter-intuitive. Bigger brakes >do not< stop your car quicker.

Default I agree with Foo, definate increase in braking with the b5 S4 calipers and rotors

the weight increase is there, but you hardly notice this at all. Now if you are seriously planning on racing your car, then I'd go with a big brake kit that saves lots of weight.

for everyday driving, crusing, speeding, spirited driving them the S4 ugrade is the best option to go with for price, ease and performance.

Ok, define "increase in braking".
