They also make about 38,000 TTs and the Audi S3 is made there too (last year or production)

The Jetta and Beetle 1.8T's are made in Mexico, just not the Audi version.

So not true! Wife's 2002 Jetta GLS 1.8T lists source of origin for engine and tiptronic as Germany
