Default Which Dunlops? They're all called Sport-something or other. :>)

If you mean your sport package tires, that's a big no-no. The tires that come with the sport package are 3 season performance tires and are not designed for cold weather or foul road conditions.

For winter tires, I highly recommend the Dunlop Winter Sport M2's. Search around and you'll see that lots of people have been happy with them.

Default If you mean A2s, they are great tires, supposed to be best a/s tire in snow.SP5000=even more preform

SP5000 is the best performance a/s tire I can think of(some peeps like Michelin Pilots) For a Touring tire, A2s are fantastic! They are so quiet it is spooky. Snow preformance should be great if you look at TR reviews. I have had a LOT of tyres on my 11 Audis, running Potenza RE950s now and I am dissapointed. Low grip, fast wear-I can't say enough bad things about them. Ok in dry.

Default Yup - I loved my old SP5000s, though now I use SP9090s for summer, Winter Sport M2s for winter (m)

and it's a great combination.

Like Shaun said, definitely do NOT use the Dunlop SP Sport 9090s for snow!

Default Happy Running RE950's ............

Thats odd... I've had RE950's on mine and they've been outstanding on snow and wet condition... They are pretty quiet as well.

Default SP9090's for Winter

I ran SP9090's all last winter up in Vermont without a problem. I used to take my baby into parking lots and try to lose traction, but with the traction control on the summer tires still held. With that said, I am not going to test my luck this year so I bought a set of Blizzaks.

Default I agree with AudiJunkie about the A2s but ...

you will have to get a smaller tire size if you have the sport package (I believe they come in 215/55-17).

If you want higher performance (but slightly less snow traction) and want to maintain 235/45-17 tire size I would recommend either the Sumitomo HTR+ or the Dunlop SP5000. Both of these tires are exceptional performance all-season treads -- and inexpensive, about $100-125 each. So good, in fact, that you may never switch back to high priced, high performance tires.

Both are sweet! Good luck.
