2.0 Chip question for coworker
I just read the APR (and stock) dyno threads.
Coworker just bought a 2.0T with CVT. Not a car nut, but would like more power.
Is one chip more set and forget than the other(s)?
Does anything in particular commonly break?

Chipped CVT's seem to hold up well. APR and REVO seem to be the choice for most
APR, you switch between modes using the stalk on the steering column. There is a dealer lockout option, not detectable.
Revo, seems to make slightly more power and is controlled by a handheld device you plug into the cars serial port, extra cost but conveinient. I do not think, for some reason, Revo is undetecable. For the 2.0T I think it does raise the flash counter.
Common problems with flashed cars are the DV. someitmes PCV but commonly the diaphram in the DV tears under higher boost.
