Alignment done - Questions for those who had lowered A4 for a while?
I just had alignment done. Everything was corrected to the factory allowable spec. However, front camber was out of range. It had -1.7 and -1.6. This was with KONI and H&R (25 1/4" height all around).
If you had coilover on your B6 A4 before, I am sure you had more negative camber in the front (with even lower setting than mine). How was your tire wear? Did it significantly reduce the life of the tires?
Please, list your camber reading and duration of tires used?

Re: Alignment done - Questions for those who had lowered A4 for a while?
Hey Dan,
I have a 2005 A4 3.0, stock suspension.
I lowered my car with Koni shocks and Eibach springs (1.25").
After lowering it, you could tell the front had negative camber. The rear slightly had negative camber.
My car was aligned by the dealer, but still has about negative-1.5 camber. They adjusted it all they could.
You will notice the inside of your tires wear fast. I have about 21k miles on my car, mostly highway, with original tires.
I have increased my tire (Continentals) life two ways.
One, rotating them, so all 4 tires wear on the inside.
Two, I had all 4 tires taken off of the rim and flipped. This allows me to have the outside of the tire, now on the inside. The Continental tires are 'directional', but I do not care. If I can get another 8/9k out of them , that's fine by me.. I was told there could be some vibration, I have not felt any.
I've done some research and the only way to get the camber to 0*, is by using a control arm camber kit - which run about $600.
Hope this helps.

It's only possible to equilize the camber up front. If you lower your car, both sides will go...
negative and wear the insides of the tires.
A4's and S4's and sport sus. have different specs.
Maybe you can tell the alignment machine you have an S4 to make your specs GREEN.

Mike, Thanks for the information. I guess I have to monitor the tire wear...
I've seen the front CPP camber kit (which is really replacing the front upper control arm). I guess I will decide after I wear out the current CONTIs..... Damn, it sucks to spend $600 + install just to correct the front camber...
