Any 17" owner thinks the ride is harsh?
I have Goodyear LS2 AS on my bone stock 2.0TQ non-S. The ride is very harsh on less than perfect roads compared to MB E350 with 18". It seems the chassis gets unsettled easily over bumps and the interior rattles. Any thoughts?

It's a big stretch to compare those 2 cars >>
You could compare it to a C class Mercedes to have a better comparison. It would be a better comparison with an A6 . You'd still find the MB to be slightly more solid (our family had both, went from the Merc to the A6), but they're 2 different flavors. Before it was common to find the Merc in AWD, the A6 was a better choice for many in our climate, but now the choice is tougher....better?

I don't think so.
I have the OEM 17" with non-sport suspension.
I've had two different brands of A/S tires and run at the recommended tire pressures. (My OE ContiPro Contacts lasted 35K and I now have BFG Traction T/As)
I haven't found the ride to be even the least bit "harsh".
In fact, I'd say it rides at least as well as my B6 did.

E-class is meant to be cushy and not really sporting in any way
plus, with its longer wheelbase, it will inherently absorb road imperfections better.
The B7 isn't *harsh* by any means, but it's not as plush as a MB
