APR Tuned Vs. M3 (333HP!!!)
I notice this pearl white M3 in my rearview but he's not being obnoxious - just minding his own business... traffic opens up and I take off - sure enough, he bites... but can't catch me. I'm not going to lie, he stays with me, but never reels me in. This goes on with every opening in traffic that comes along. He's got a passenger with him and I notice every time they come up behind me (after I've hit the brakes because of traffic ahead) that they're laughing. This whole time I'm thinking the driver is telling his buddy that he's not really trying to keep up with me or something. We end up next to each other down the road a bit at a red light next to each other - they're still laughing and motion to me to put down my window. The driver says to me "did you do modify that thing... I couldn't catch you for ****" I tell him I have APR's ECU flash and the supposed specs that it produces. He's like "let's see what it can do" - Light turns green, we both launch... he took me out of the whole for about 20/30 feet... once I grabbed 2nd, we were door to door - right on through the top of 3rd... at this point we're nearing 90/100 MPH... Next light we're next to each other again - he's totally impressed... then I say to him "and I don't have to put it away when it snows! LMAO!!! Seems the $599 for APR's ECU flash was WELL worth it...

wow!! I've heard kills like STi and now hanging with a M3. That much power added to stock?
Even our fellow brother S4 can't do the same at 100mph. My stocker certainly ain't close to those territories.

Well, the numbers APR claims are quite impressive - especially the torque - 292 Lb Ft. Off-hand I don't know stock times of the M3. I DO know they're damn good though! Perhaps it was my driving ability - or his lack of... I don't know. I'll give the M3 one thing though - it sounds MEAN at the top of the rev range, that's for sure. Another thing - I'm PSYCHED for APR's exhaust (which comes along with a free flash of the ECU specifically designed for their exhaust) Rumored increases of an ADDITIONAL 23 horsepower. That with their soon to be released intercooler and I'll have a real screamer!

U don't believe me? That's ok - I was there and that is what happened...
I'm not claiming better 0-60 numbers OR 1/4 times. I'm just saying that for the few opportunities that presented themselves, I was able to stay with or not be caught up to against an M3 - PERIOD.
I was surprised as much as the guy driving the M3.
