Default B5 to B7

Just wondering if anyone can comment if the B7s are as easy to work on as the B5s. I have a '98 1.8TQ and I'm seriously considering upgrading to an '06 or '07 2.0TQ. I've done most of the maintenance on the car myself and have found it to be pretty user friendly.

It is a bit harder to work on.
Most importantly, you will be exchanging the problem of a 1.8T which has sludge and timing belt issues, for a 2.0T which has oil burning issues that Audi won't address.

The reason Audi won't address the 2.0T's timing belt issues is because fewer than 20% (about 10 to 12%) of people have that problem (according to Consumer Reports and True Delta). If the percentage of people that have this problem with the 2.0T reaches 20% (which it, 100-1, would have done by now if it was going to do so at all), Audi will address this problem.
