Is a cover between the cabin filter cover and the computer cover standard OEM ? Just started rehabbing a 2006 A4 and it looks like something is missing but I’m not sure if I. Using the right nomenclature in parts search .

On most B7's there is now an opening where the battery sits if that's what you mean. I have the same for my B6 3.0 V6. I think there used to be a cover there on the B5 model, but it got dropped by Audi presumably as a cost saving measure. It might still have been fitted on the more expensive models like the RS4 - would need someone else to confirm if that were the case.

Yeah, most of the cars from that era seem to omit those covers giving a strange appearance. I think ECSTuning sells them.

Thanks for the info from senior members , I’ll check out the AM vendors . Right now there is no cover over battery ,master cyl vac assist, or what appears to be a computer enclosure .
