Big Turbo Choice
I’m ex B-5 S-4 Stage II guy going thru some serious conversion (to an A-4) issues. I’ve got to find a way to beef up a 2008 A-4. It doesn’t appear it’s a highly tuned vehicle, especially where I live. Anyways…. Need help on big turbo solution.
This is what I’m seeing. There are 3 BT options available. ATP Turbo, Mild Conversion, APR S3 K04 and Stasis A4 MTF Power Kit. Weakness I see on both ATP & APR is poor low end torque (based on their published charts) which is actually less than stock until 2500 – 2700 rpms. This makes both these solutions unacceptable since I have an automatic. Stasis appears to beat stock power thru all rpm ranges due to their proprietary turbo and injectors. Stasis concerns me in the event one of the parts fail, where do I get a replacement part besides Stasis? What happens in 3 years when I blow the turbo or an injector fails and Stasis no longer stocks the parts?
Any insight would be appreciated.
