2006 A-4 2.0 quattro When in traffic slow moving I notice when i get on the gas poof blue smoke out the tail pipe. burning i do have a few miles like 216000 . From what I gather i will have to get the engine done just thinking about it should I drop that type of dime into it or just get a new ride?

Holy Cow - 216,000 miles; the car doesn't exactly owe you anything.
If it is in good shape otherwise and you Love it, get it repaired.

I think it depends on the condition of the rest of the car. If it is still really nice and you have maintained everything else it is probably worth it to repair the engine. If not then I would just keep driving it until she blows. You can probably get quite a few miles on it still.
