Chipping vs. Longevity
I am very close to chipping my 2.0 A4, but have a concern about two things: 1) voiding my warranty, and 2) engine longevity.
Do we know what negative effects, if any, there would be to the long-term health of my engine? In other words, if I chip it, should I expect my engine lifespan to decrease? ...increased maintenance?
Is everyone happy with the flash back feature of APR/GIAC? Any issues with flashing/toggling it back to stock before scheduled maintenance?
Suggestions/tips appreciated!

I chipped my B5 and never had a problem with warranty or longevity
I think it comes down to how well do you take car of your cars. If you change the oil regularly and have it serviced and don't beat it up, you're car will be fine. These engines can withstand an extra 50hp, no question, but often it's an owner that does the most damage on a car. I do not suggest you chip if you have an auto, however. Transmissions don't like a lot more power than what they're designed for. I still haven't picked up my 2.0T, but I will be chipping it as soon as i put a few thousand miles on it. Besides, you can always revert back to the normal settings with APR and your dealer prob won't know you're chipped!
