delivery
my dealer just told me that my car will arrive in the u.s. soil on nov. 7th, and the car will be delivered to the dealership on the 21st.
IT TAKES THAT LONG TO GET TO THE DEALERSHIP??
my dealership is in NJ.
Why does it take so long to get to the dealership?

Re: delivery
it has to go through a bunch of crap at port, then loaded on a truck and driven to your dealer... patience... its worth it... I waited three months for mine, and I am sooo happy!

Mine took a week
It got into port late Friday, 10/21, was at the dealer Wednesday, 10/26, and delivered to me on Friday, 10/28. It depends on the port, how the car is handled, and how long it takes to do the port inspection and get it loaded and moving.
I'll agree with what others have said...it's worth the wait. So far, I like this car better than even my 2003 A6 2.7T. It feels lighter, more buttoned down, handles and rides better, and I'm getting almost 28 mpg on my first tank of gas. Not bad!

Re: delivery
yeah patience. It's worth the wait. My B7 took 2 weeks (I'm not in North America) from booking date to delivery, but mainly coz of the procedures and red tapes to get it registered, otherwise I would have gotten it in 3 days I think. All the while the car was there begging for me to take it home. It was a very long 2 weeks. In the end I took delivery of it one day later coz it rained too heavily on that night of delivery, so my Audi dealer gave me a B7 courtesy car for 24 hours.
