driver side window squeaking

hey everybody

just a quick question. I've had my '06 a4 for about 11 months, and in the past week or so I've been hearing this squeaking sound when my driver side window goes down. it's really annoying, and very embarassing.

it has to be the window rubbing up against something, i just don't know what.

has anyone experienced something similar? what should i do?

Me too

Dealership said it was from dirt/grime on the window....which I dont beleive since I had hansdwashed my car the day before.

But they claimed to have cleaned it and it did stop squeaking for a few days.

Mine only squeeks when wet and I think its because of the tint!

Yep. Me too!

Only in the morning (or, perhaps, first attempt)
Does not squeak "later in the day".
I do not tinted windows.
Passenger side does not squeak.
