Dual Rate Brake Assist: Electric or mechanical?
I would like to know if the emergency brake assist in the A4 2.0T that Audi calls "Dual Rate" is similar to BMW -and others- emergency braking systems, Bosch I think.
In the 6 cylinder BMW it is electricaly based and feels the SPEED with wich the brake pedal is depressed. It also primes the brake pads closer to the discs when the throtle is released suddenly.
It also dries the discs when wet.
But in the A4 2.0T and 6 cylinder AUDIs the brake assist "dual rate" seems to work when it feels more brake pressure in the pedal.
AUDI info is not clear at all.
