Electric fans not operating at all
I have an 2005 A4 Quatro. Recently discovered that neither the cooling or condenser fans are working. I replaced the control module and the fans themselves, checked the 5amp fuse in fuse panel and the 40A fuse on the battery and they are good. Fans still don't operate. I pull the wires off going to the fan motors from the control module and they are reading about 8 volts on all 4 wires. Are all 4 wires suppose to provide power or should there be a ground to each fan?
There are 12 volts going into the module from the S42 40A fuse and the S4 5A fuse, ground wire going into the module is also good. Only one I haven't been able to check is the wire leading back to the ECM. Is that one suppose to supply signal voltage to turn on the fans? If so what could be the cause preventing the ECM from doing so or is there some more fuses/relays that I have not found yet?

Would anyone have a schematic of how power flows thru the control module? I am stuck at the fact that each fan has 2 wires coming from the module, each wire is reading voltage but the motors are not grounded. I think I need to start looking for a ground issue?
