Getting a chip FINALLY and some other goodies next week. Got some info on the chip....
I've been waiting for this moment for 2 months now! I've been in contact with Anthony the owner of Greedspeed (www.greedspeed.com) He is a distributor for Neuspeed products and others, and really knows his stuff when it comes to Audi and VW. I have the B7 A4 2.0T FSI 6-speed and Front Trak 2-wheel drive. In a few days I'm going to get the Neuspeed chip, K & N panel filter and the Neuspeed short shifter kit (which I'm really excited about). After putting his own A3 and A4 on the laptop he said that the stock ecu peaks out turbo boost at 12 lbs and goes down to 10.5 as you approach redline. The Neuspeed chip raises boost to a peak of just over 17 lbs, and flatens to a 15 closer to redline. Of course there is timing and air/fuel mixture advances as well, so I'm guessing that should be a considerable gain. They claim 35 HP at the wheels which would be close to 45-50 at the crank. On some of my past Audi's(on my 5th) I've gone with both Neuspeed and Garrett and loved them both. On my old A6 2.7T I tried the GIAC and Neuspeed chip. The Garrett X-chip had more boost then the Neuspeed and was clearly more powerful, especially on the top end. But then I hear Neuspeed makes an aggresive version chip for the older 1.8T that is up there with anyone else. So for now I'm doing the Neuspeed since they were first I know there are a few out there already but I will post comments as soon as its in. My car is the Front trak and feels very light and pretty quick already just stock, I can't wait to drive it with the chip! Next thing will be exhaust once someone makes one for a front wheel drive. They say a higher flowing cat with a true dual system is good for another 15 HP on the 2.0T FSI, due to the set up with the turbo connected to the cat. Should be fun

Re: How is the programming done? Serial Port? EEPROM?
I don't think Neuspeed has the port technology quite yet. I do know that there are other companies that are doing it like OCT. I was considering them but I don't want to ship out my ecu, they are so hard to take out now that they have 4 of those compression bolts, what a pain. I live in Los Angeles so I could just take my car over to Greedspeed and have it done.
