Default Got my car back from the shop, they broke my key.

So I finally got my car back from the shop. I was in an accident on Halloween. The total cost was $1900 and some change. So I'm all excited to get my car back, and they hand me my car key like this:
<img src="https://www.t-mobilepictures.com/photos/photo17/0c/92/5c0aa60daf4a.jpg?_rh=eb8id9apxpxswa5y7ey9wyqxm">

So I tell him (the manager) that my key is broken. He starts looking at it...playing around with it...thinking of an excuse as to why its like that. And he says "Seems like it's a defective key, it's rubbing on something and wont retract." I say, "No, it never did that before, it's bent, and won't go back in, someone broke it".

Long story short, he tries to tell me that it should be covered under my warranty. So I call Audi while I'm there, and the parts manager says it is NOT covered under my warranty. So I go back to the manager and say that it is not covered, and it is obviously broken and they need to pay for it. He tells me to hold on, then comes back after 5 mins and agrees to pay for the replacement.

Mind you this is THE Audi approved shop I was sent to through the Audi dealership.

One of the two keys I got from the dealer at time of purchase was ripped to shreds. They ordered me a new one no questions asked, but when i went to the service department the service manager made quite the face when I told him it was to be free replacement, and asked who the salesman was and wrote down the name.

I hope the shop takes responsibility if there is something messed up on your car.

It is just the spring inside the joint which has slipped half a turn. Open the case and try to figure out how the spring should be positioned to achieve correct force/torque to keep the blade in open position.

I have fixed few keys for other cars. Usually the reason is that the key has been dropped and it is partially exploded and then pressed back in wrong position. Anyway, workshop should not drop anything ...

Default You scratched my car!

if I take it to small claims court, it will just drain eight hours out of my life and you probably won't show up and even if I got the judgment you'd just stiff me anyway; so what I am going to do is **** and moan like an impotent jerk, and then bend over and take it up the tailpipe!

You've been here before, haven't ya?
