HID

Has anyone installed a HID kit in the B7 w/out lighting package? I have the halogen reflectors and in need of the luxury Xenon look that im lacking in my B7. If so what kit are you running? what color temperature (k)? how did the installation go as far as time and labor? ANy drilling? etc..................

first off you need to buy some Xenon projectors/headlights

I wouldnt install xenons in halogen housing. Second that

There's a few long threads on Fourtitude about the same thing. I would not install xenons in the regular halogen housings. Reflectors designed for halogens and with xenons results in way too much light being dispersed which is an issue for oncoming traffic or people in front of you, it's blinding.

who is installing them for you and how much is the cost?? if i buy some projectors are they plug and play??

I believe the proper hid housings are plug and play.

My car originally came with a halogen setup. I've bought the OEM Euro HID housings along with D1S bulbs and OEM ballasts and everything was plug and play.

Dallasttqr, the installation is pretty simple.....

The installation of the headlight housings is actually really simple. Its just a matter of unscrewing a few screws. Although this DIY is for the A3 i looked on my A4 w/ halogens and the setup is basically the same. I think I am going to do the same thing you did by getting the housings off of ebay and then installing aftermarket bulbs and ballasts.
