Hot start issues!
2006 A4 2.0T, HPFP, cam and follower replaced in 2015 along with in tank fuel pump and fuel filter.
For last week or so car would either not start, cranks no problem, or start occasionally and die after few seconds after engine is hot,15 minutes or so after shut off, no start. Popped the hood and let it cool another 10 minutes and starts right up.
Only codes that come up on my handheld code reader from Schwaben are:
12555 Low fuel pressure regulation fuel pressure outside specification-sporadic 008-implausible signal and
12555 all the same, at the end 004-no signal/communication. These codes have been coming on and off by themselves for about 3 years now, sometimes they would be gone for months but lately they come up weekly or sometimes daily. I will ask friend of mine, who is Audi mechanic, to check the duty cycle of the lift pump.
Replaced low fuel pressure sensor and fuel filter, no difference.
In 2016 replaced cam sensor due to stalling.
Other than this car starts and runs fine. My main suspect is crankshaft position sensor, seems like fairly easy replacement next oil filter.At the same time hate to keep replacing parts and hoping to solve this issue.
