How high do you mount the V1?
I've seen people mount the V1 higher than the RVM on the B7. Will rear detection be compromised since the V1 doesn't have a clear line of sight of the rear and pointing at the rear headliner instead?

You want it as high as possible without blocking rear sight.
Mine is about level with the RVM, on the passenger's side. Perhaps just a tick higher. Pretty good sight from there.
