How to remove boot lock
Hello - I am trying to remove the part of my Audi a4 cab which houses the number plate lights so I can drill out the rusted screws and fit new lights. My key does not turn in the boot lock so I assume the lock is siezed. What I want to know is whether I need to be able to turn the key in order to remove the boot lock from its housing.
If not, I cant figure out how to remove the number plate light holder as the lock is in the way and I cant see any nuts or screws attaching the lock to the boot lid.
If you do have to be able to turn the key, can I take the circlip off the back of the lock and remove the barrel?
I'm in sunny lockdown Bristol UK and would really appreciate help on this one.
