Initial Quality

Has anyone noticed a lot less threads about problems compared to the early B6 A4s?

How's everyone's first 90 days been? Audi seems to be stepping up on inital quality. Agree/ Disagree?

I hope you saw my post about my B7 coil pack failure at 200km (day 2)

It is also hard to call this "initial quality" since the similarity with the B6 is so close (except the FSI and active steering)

unlike my 2002 B6, my B7 has been flawless up to now...3 months.

Only had my 2006 Avant 2.0t for 2 weeks, but I've had no problems at all. Everything works as it should, and no strange noises, odors or rattles. I'm very pleased with the quality.

I am just hardened =)

- Keys being replaced under the TSB (was first batch of 05.5)
- Power steering pump made terrible noise; ran low on fluid
- Two distinct rattles
- Strange chirp in the audio system, chirps about once every 5 min

But I have decided that unless something is really broken, I am not bringing it in. It's just not worth the trouble.
