Instrument cluster display problem?
I have a 2006 B7 with Nav and Tech and I love using the trip computer when driving. However, each time I turn the car on the center display shows the nav info instead of the trip computer that was displayed when I last turned my car off. I then have to push the reset button twice to get back to the trip computer. To clarify, the nav screen shows nothing except the compass direction and the name of the street I am on, because when I start the car there is no destination for route guidance selected.
I seem to remember the car not doing this when I first got it but cant remember for sure.
Ive looked in the manuals (both car and NAV) and cant find anything.
Is this abnormal or something that everyone experiences? Is it something I could change with a vag-comm?
Also, does anyone know if it is possible to display the speed on the center display, maybe with a vag-com hack?
