Just put my deposit down on an 06 s-line avant... what do you say when the finance guy wont come down any further than 4% over invoice?

Especially on a S-Line as this will not be the way most dealers will order the car.

Ive found the car I want but it doesnt have nav+
im torn between ordering the car the way I want it and waiting 3 months or pickin one up this weekend... ugggh I am such a sucker for instant gratification... someone talk some sense into me...

If NAV+ is an absolute must, I'd recommend ordering the car to your specs. When I was shopping for my Avant, my dealer was having a difficult time finding an Avant that exactly matched my specs. I considered ordering it, but I knew that the 3+ month wait would have killed me. Luckily, after a few weeks, they found a close enough match for me from another dealer 300 miles away and swapped it.

I had originally called and spoken with 5 different Audi dealers. Only the one that I ended up buying from was able to "locate" the car, leading me to believe that the other 4 didn't really look and wanted me to only buy from their allocation.

Just a note: NAV+ can be added afterwards, but it'll be more expensive to do it than getting it as a factory installed option.
