It's my understanding that they now have a new piece to replace the defective coolant flange. Also, for anyone in the San Francisco area: I took my car into Rector motors in Burlingame...great place. Everyone there was really professional and helpful. I've been to 5 different dealers in the past two years and never been impressed with service until now.

Worked with Hector, but everyone seemed on top of things.
Even the salespeople on the showroom floor were cool. Usually I can't get the time of day from any salesman at a decent car dealership because I'm 22. I think that's one of the biggest mistake of any car salesman. All you have to do is be nice to the younger crowd and they'll come back in a couple years with some real money to spend...either that or they'll tell their friends/coworkers/parents where to go for their next car.

Not a recall where you "must" bring it in but a service bulletin. It may or may not fail on you.
Next time you're in service, ask them to check the coolant flange according to the TSB and if it needs replacing, they'll replace it.
The TSB has been out since the B6s, mine failed at 33k miles and the coolant had leaked out overnight onto the ground. Needed to have it towed to the dealer and replaced the flange.
