kinda worried here
a while back i was driving with a buddy of mine and were at a light and ran, 1rst gear went fine, but then when i shifted into second nothing happened. the car was like if i had it on nuetral. then when i put it into third right away and back into second it went fine. then last night i raced an ser sentra from a dig and the same happened. spun all of first(semi rocky road for the first 30ish feet), then when shifting to second it died out on me and i had to put it in third and back to second. btw, we ran from a second gear and i raped him..(buslengths)
please tell me its most likely the clutch thats slipping and not like a syncro or something else..

Or could be ESP kicking in and cutting power.
Even with it switched off it's not 100% off.

well the esp was turned off, and...
it cant be because i spun tires all the way to redline, esp would of dropped my revs until traction was detected. it felt like when i shifted something didnt grab. and also to add to this mystery, the rpms dropped all the way down(pedal was slammed) once i shifted..i think in this case it could be either the computer or the clutch..i believe it grinded when i downshifter to 4rth once..ive sat in multiple stick cars and moved the shifter to 1-6 not moving and the noise that they made is the same the audi makes so it doesnt seem like it the ranny ecall everyones talking about..no crunchy sound..at least not yet..

Re: Sounds like a tranny problem
i hope its the clutch only, thats going to get replaced with a stage 2 or 3, i normally ride clutch instead of spinning the tires when going from a dig so i dont spin but that particular area where we launched was covered with gravel by near by construction so i spun till redline(little before)
