Locking Problem

For the last few days I have noted that the red light on the locking switch has not lite up and now even if I lock the doors the rear passenger door does not lock. Dealer unsure why??
Any Ideas...

It's probably the door latch but I'm just guessing. The problem could be simple or very difficult..

to figure out.
