Default I would like to see what it would look like if you....
Lightly sanded the strips, perhaps with some 400 or 600-grit. Or, paint the strips with some semi-matte or flat clear paint...so that it made the LEDs look more like a bar rather than a series of dots.

There has to be some solution. I miss my fogs after switching to DTM
