Default Re: The Audis are not overpriced at all.

I do not agree with the statement that Acura TL does not have passenger power seat.I live in Toronto/Canada and I've drive tested a 2005 TL today both configuration, manual and automatic.
Both seats are 8-way power seats.Driver seat has also electric lumbar support adjustment.
Also, the dealer I've talked to today said that they include 4 years/80000Km free maintenance such as tire rotation, oil change, wiper blades change etc.
I somehow agree that 270hp on Acura TL feels like 250hp but this is for AT.I drove a manual today and the acceleration literally pinched my head back, you feel that this car is below 6 sec 0-60mph.
I was amazed today by the array of features included in price such as: leather seats, heated seats, bluetooh, sunroof, xenon lights,6CD changer,DVD Audio and the list can continue. To get all these features on B7 A4 2.0 T the price tag is almost 50K canadian while I can get a 2005 TL for 44.5K maintenance and Navigation included.
I am sure that in near future Audi will adopt the strategy of including as many features as possible in a very competitive price.

Default Free maintenance not available in the U.S

I said that the passenger power seat was not fully powered. Something about not being able to increase its height.
As I said, the Acura is a very nice car, but the finish is not up to Audi standards.
There have been many complaints of rattles and squeeks with the TL.
Well the Audi does offer BI-Xenon lights with adaptive feature now, true as an option, but still.
There is just something about the Audi brand that is more exciting. I dunno, maybe it is just me, but being in the business we "dissect" these cars (all brands) and we can see the weaknesses of all more than clients can.

I agree, there is something special about german cars and it will always be.When I see an A4 on the road it literally stands out of the crowd.
I will most likely part of my A4 in favor of 2005 Acura TL manual transmision.I am a gadget lover a and this is the car for me,well, for now untill I'll get an A6. Time and money will decide!
Have a good one!

Default Do you know how the Bluetooth works on the TL?

I heard that on the RL you are not able to pull your phone book at all.
Is it just pick up/ hang up and calling names?

I know that with the Audi you can pull these:
-Numbers dialed
-Calls made
-Calls received
-Calls missed
-Phone book (from SIM card)

I'm curious, let me know.

Thanks.

Phone book from SIM card can not be sync.with bluetooth interface on 2005 Acura TL.There are some rumors that 2006 model will include this along with other features.
I've learnt that TL has something that is called HF Link (hands free link which allows you to place calls using vocal commands like:"Call (name in phonebook)" and HF Link dials up the number automatically. It displays also incoming and outgoing phone numbers, cellphone battery status, signal strength, roaming indicator a.s.o.
It may be other features that I don't know about.

Default That's what I thought.

BT will come with Voice Recognition on the A4.
On the A6 you can see the actual signal strength bar.
Pretty cool.

Bigger, but god awful boring. If you just look at your car as transportation and don't care about "fun factor" the TL is fine. But if you are the typical Audi owner you will hate the TL. Also, no Quattro

You are a car dealers dream. Why the hell would you buy a car if you like something else more??? God, talk about buyer remorse tonight! Sorry for you, Acura is a yawn machine.
