Pattern on the hood?

This am we had a light dusting of snow and ice and while scraping the windshield I noticed patterns on the hood where the snow was melting. (a couple of triangles and a line that ran across the width) They were geometric and symetrical. The car hadn't been started yet, so it wasn't from engine heat.
I saw it a couple of times last year, but never bothered to look into it.

Anyone else? Are aliens leaving messages via A4s??

Snow circles...govt and AoA deny alien involvement, but we know better.

Reinforcements under the hood skin cause those areas to heat/cool at a different rate than surrounding sheetmetal.
