PSA: Never do any business with PAP Parts.
I'll try to make a long story as short as possible, but, basically, in mid-February I refused a Fed-Ex delivery of a 5 liter jug of Elf motor oil that I had ordered from PAP because the box was soaked in oil, indicating that the jug was leaking. I called PAP right away and informed them of what had happened and they said they would take care of it. 10 days went by with no word, so I emailed them. No response. 3 days later I called and was told the package had not been returned yet. I asked them to track it and was told it was still en route back. I asked for the tracking number (it was never given to me initially) and they said they would email it. It never came. More time went by, more phone calls, no oil, no refund. I get impatient due to an upcoming road trip and place a fresh order for another 5 liter jug (which does arrive intact this time). I FINALLY get a tracking number out of them for the missing order and call Fed-Ex myself. In 5 minutes on the phone I find out what these dipsh!ts couldn't in 3 weeks: due to the leaking contents, Fed-Ex had dead-ended the package at a nearby sort facility just 3 days after I refused delivery (it was NEVER en route back East) and they were waiting to hear from PAP to process the refund. I contact PAP, give them the info, and ask for a refund. They say sure, no problem. More time goes by, more phone calls. "We forgot to give the note to our controller", "our computers went down", "I'm too busy". And so on. Still no refund. Finally I call and the guy flat out says that he hasn't even contacted Fed-Ex yet and that my refund will be credited once PAP gets THEIR money from Fed-Ex. I just laugh and try to explain customer service to the guy, and then give up and hang up. It's now the end of March, this has gone on for 6 weeks. File a complaint with my CC company, refund issued today from Wells Fargo, NOT PAP Parts. A$$holes are probably still playing with their d!cks waiting to hear from Fed-Ex.
Why on earth you would **** all over a customer who has done business with you for almost 2 years (buy all my oil there, plus the oil for my gf's GLI, PLUS the oil for my Mom's CLK350) for a lousy $50 is beyond my comprehension. I badly want to call again and just go off, but life is too short so instead I'll just share a warning with the community.
Anyone got a better source for Elf Excellium DID?

Not sure where you're located but PureMS is usually excellent.
Shipping is the only issue for me since they are in Cali and I'm on the East coast.

http://www.purems.com/products/products.php/CA=1461</a

Score. I'm in Seattle so actually that's perfect.
Those other bozos are back in PA, I think, so this is better. I didn't realize PureMS carried Elf so thanks for that!

Thank you.. Keep in mind that Elf is actually going away..
It's turning into the Total brand of oil, which we'll be switching to shortly once all the Elf is burned up.
