re: AUX input via the pre-wire in the trunk?
I've spent a lot of time reading throught he threads so if I missed this..sorry...
My new B7 is No SAT/NAV (has tech, prem, sunroof). ..Rather than wiring into the CD changer slot through the glove box I am wondering if anyone knows...is it possible/is there a blitz/PIE or other connector so I can simply have a 3.5mm aux connector in the trunk connected to the prewire for the satellite unit?
or a connector for a portable delphi MyFi to connect via the trunk wiring so it can be the "sat unit" and also the SharkFin antenna
Basic idea is to connect a portable XM Delphi MyFi radio. the 3.5mm adapter would be a fallback for the portable XM and also for my daughters iPod without having to deal with the wiring harness on the back of the head unit.
<RANT: Jees, all it would take is a simple 3.5mm jack on the front of the head unit instead of that cassete tape deck. how freakin hard is that? /RANT>
