Default Recommended street pads for Stasis Touring package (Alcon 345 x 26mm)?

I just ordered the Stasis touring kit for the B7 and I am now trying to decide on front pads. This is for street application with maybe some occasional DE track use; nothing too extreme. I have read good things about SBS Pro-Touring pads and also PBR ceramics. Suggestions?

Default Get the Pro-Track or Ferodo 2500 pads

I just installed a set of the Pro-Touring pads and while they are perfect for the street they don't have the bite of the Pro-Track pad when warmed up.

I wouldn't use the Pro-Touring on the track. The Pro-Tack pad is very nice and the hotter they get the better they stop. I'm told the Ferodo 2500 is about the same.

The Pro-Track does dust up a lot more than the Pro-Touring but if you want a single combo pad then that is it.

However if curiosity is getting to you I do have a set of barely used Pro-Touring pads for sale! =)

Default Since I wipe my wheels down every 2 days or after I drive in the rain it doesn't bug me anymore

but I thought people should be informed as to the dust properties of the pads.

The Pro-Touring almost lets me go 3-4 days before I need to wipe the wheels down!

That's why I run dustless pads. I'm too lazy to wipe down my wheels :-(

Default I have practically the same rotors on my Mono4 kit, for street the SBS pro-touring are the best...

SBS pro-touring hands down the best for street, I had the ferrodos and did a DE with them and they went in 15 laps. The bite on the SBS is better too. I'm now using the pro-tracks when tracking, but using the pro-touring daily. I can't say enough good things about this pad. You will have to clean your wheels more often, (lol, just read the post below) but for the performance its worth it. Let me know if you have any more questions

Default One more thing about the SBS pro touring... (when installing)

Ok so i'm not sure if the pad design will be the same as the one's designed for use on the stock calipers, but the SBS pro touring pads on my Mono4 calipers don't make use of the oem brake wear sensors. I just tied them around one of the suspension arms with some snap rings so they are completely out of the way. Just thought you might want to know that...

Default Carbotech bobcat for street/autoX Ceramic compound, rotor friendly, low dust.

on my 3rd set now, will get another when these are worn out. I also use one of their race compounds for track days.

Highly recommended.
