I've seen quite a number of posts of people commenting on the sloppy shifting of the B7 6 speed tranny. IMO, the APR snub is one of the most underrated mods that you can get for the B7! For only a $40-50 part, the snub mount made a world of difference! For the B7 folks with the 6 speed tranny, a lot of us feel that the shifting feels somewhat sloppy. After installing the snub mount, it shifts much more solidly now. During normal driving, I used to "baby" my shifts, but after installing the snub mount, I don't have to worry about that anymore. It shifts with authority and I don't worry or think about my shifts anymore. The shifter goes into all of the gears now perfectly.

I can't recommend the snub mount enough, and no, I have absolutely no affiliation to APR! haha

How easy is this to install? Can a regular joe do it or does it require a skilled tech?

Thanks for the info. How will the car improve if I install this? Less vibration? What does it help?
