Default Is the stock front swaybar as thick as the 32mm H&R bar?

I got a 32mm H&R bar and was about to put it in when I realized the bar that's already in there is also at least 32mm. I have the sport package, so maybe that's why?

I feel like I wasted money.

Also, the rear H&R bar is 20mm, while the stock on my car measures approx 18mm. Doesn't seem like a hell of an upgrade, but still better than the 0mm improvement up front.

(This is on a 2005.5 A4 2.0T).

Default hehe, funny you mention that. I was just measuring the B6 A4 sport pac front sway...

in my garage and it is 32mm or 2mm LARGER than my S4 stock front swaybar. I wouldnt be surprised to find out yours is the same. HSPORT uses a 35mm/24mm setup or even now a 35mm/29mm setup. I'd go with them instead.

I guess the advantages would be in the adjustability and the urethane bushings.

Default Hmmm. If that's the case, then the AWE site is misleading.

Default More goes into strength/stiffness than just diameter...

...tube wall thickness, type of alloy used, location of stress risers, etc. Find someone that has driven both setups and ask them for opinions. Better yet, find someone with the H&Rs and drive their car for comparison
