Strange MIL
Hi,
My '06 2.0T got a MIL yesterday. It had only been sitting in a parking lot for about 5 minutes. When I got home, I re-started the car and the MIL was still there. I then loosened and re-tightened the gas cap and re-started the car. The MIL was gone and has not returned.
Loose gas cap? It was at least three days since I filled up last. I would think it would have failed sooner. Also I thought if there is a MIL for a loose gas cap, it took many re-starts before it clears itself.
Maybe something else? Again why would it clear itself so soon?
Any thoughts?
