Tire pressure for OEM size 235/45/17's
What are you guys who have this OEM size using for tire pressures? I have the factory Continental ContiPro Contacts (i think).

Re: I'd run 35-37.
My '06 A4 2.0TQ had 235/45 17 Conti's and the door label had a light load and a full load pressure. My new '08 A4 2.0TQ has Pirelli P6 4 Season tires (same size) and they just list one pressuree - 35 psi. Any idea why the change from partial/full load to just one? Also, any comments on the Pirellis - I am not sure I like them.

Not sure about the differences in load
I have 2005.5 that has differences for passenger loads. One of my OEM Continentals developed a bulge at 21,500 miles, so I'm not too happy about that. I'm not sure what I'm going to replace them with, but I did not consider the p6. I think its better than the Conti's, although I have read that the treadlife isn't that great. If you read through the Tire/Wheel discussion forum you can get more info there.

Irenesbob, forgot to mention that you need to break-in those tires before you can really get a feel for them. It should be about 500 miles of non-aggressive driving (i.e. slow acceleration from stoplights, taking turns slower, etc.).

I have ContiPro Contact 235/45/17 94H on my 05.5 2.0T Quattro.
My OEM door sticker reads 33psi with light load and 36psi with heavy load for both front and back tires. I split the difference and run them all at 35 psi.
I currently have 39,000 miles on these original tires and, having kept them properly inflated and rotated every 5k, am just now looking at replacing them. (though I could squeek by another 10k, easy, if I had to)
For an All Season tire, these Contis have been fantastic and I'll be replacing them with the same.

I had Conti's on my B6, and now have Pirellis on 07 Cab.
I liked the Conti's way more, better cornering and ride. I am in So Cal so I prefer a summer ultra performance...do not need four season.
