Default Towing questions...again

I have searched over the forums, but have yet to really get a good answer to my question. I am looking to start racing in the SCCA Spec Miata series. I currently have a 06 S4 Avant and would like to be able to tow my race car. I estimate the combined weight of the car and trailer to be around 4000 lbs. Can this be done with an S4 or am I going to have to get ride of my beloved S4 for something else?

Seriously, save up about $3K (possibly less) and buy a used Ford or Chevy truck. If all you're going to do is tow a Miata with it, you can get a V6 Ford Ranger and do it. Perfect.

Anyone else notice that on the B7s when you get towed by regular 2 chain tow truck that the rear mud flaps get in the way? I think im gonna trim mine a bit, they bend back....

Thanks for the posts guys! I figured it wasn't going to happen. I think I am going to buy an older Toyota pickup like the one from Back to the Future and use that to tow with ;-)
