TPM Experiences
I am ordering a 3.2 Avant manual. I would like to have Tire Pressure Monitoring but have a bad taste in my mouth from the system in a BMW. Any feelings about the Audi system and it's reliability? The BMW always asked me to calibrate. I had sensors replaced, but the problem remained
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: TPM Experiences
I purposely didn't get this system because I had the same concern you have. My mother's lexus has it and the damn thing is so annoying. Everytime the pressure is offset, just by little, it sends this warning on the display (one time it came on after I went over a speed bump). Thank god the warning is just visual and not audible or I would've smashed that display. No experience with Audi system but doesn't look like its going to be useful. Just carry a pressure meter in your glove box.

I didn't want it, but it came on the car I wanted on the lot and got a good deal....
I haven't had any problems with it so far, but it did catch a tire when winter hit that went about 10psi below it's normal range. It won't send off an alarm unless it's 5 psi off the norm for the tires. I normally would check my tires on all my other cars on a bi-weekly basis, but this has eliminated that need.
So i guess it's kinda worth it..unless downt he road it starts getting crazy! But, that's why i'll be purchasing a VAG soon.

I would skip the TPMS
I ordered it on my 2006 A4 3.2
I love Audi's and my 3.2 is the best yet but the TPMS is not worth it. It is set to go off if the pressure changes by 6 psi. This is a lot. The system does not indicate what the pressure is. I purchased TPMS is hope I could see the psi in each wheel when I wanted too. As far as I'm concerned this is an option to skip.
What makes it even worse there is no way to turn the system off without a VAG. So in the winter months I have to put up with warnings about the pressure in my winter wheels that do not have sensors. I should have spent the money on something else.
