Default TSB RVU Engine Control Module Update (I3)

Here you go. Looks like there are certain VIN ranges on A3, A4, A6, and A8s where the ECM needs to be re-flashed.

It's there, in a zip file. Looks like my '07 VIN falls w/in the range.

Is it safe to assume this will wipe out a performance chip

Default A reflash of the ECU will wipe out a performance chip.......

If it is a GIAC flash, then you can just go back to where you had it done and for normally just the cost of labor get it reflashed back to performance mode. Some chips have a lock out feature which will be bad news when your dealer goes to reflash and sees its been played with.

Default My ECM Problems.

Audi had my A4 for exactly one mounth trying to figure out a ECM problem. They ended up getting one made in Germany "they said" and shipped out. After installing the new ECM they still came up with some fault codes. They fixed an EGR valve and it seemed to fix the problem. Last night my check engine light came back on. I wonder if my new ECM needs this re-flash or not. Also I wonder if Audi will have my A4 for another month and downgrade me into the base line A4 again.

Judging from those number ranges, it looks like the entire 2.0T production run.
