Update on hesitations...
Well 3/4 through the tank with a dose of Motul fuel cleaner. Kept the revs up, higher than normal in my daily driving, and have noticed that the hesitations seemed to have disappeared... so far. My back bumper does look a little more blacker than usual.
Or maybe the recent warm spell had something to do with it but at any rate, will continue to keep an eye on this. I don't have any idling or cold-start issues so I'm ruling out cam follower at this time (but will get it checked out anyways before the warranty goes up).
