I own a 2007 2.0T Avant S-Line. This problem has been bugging me ever since I bought the car 6 months ago...Hopefully you guys can help me out.

I hear this very faint "beep", coming from somewhere in the car (most likely from the rear) from time to time in my car. When it happense, it repeats itself, like every 6~8 seconds.

It gets really annoying, and sounds like its from some kind of electric part, or from the speakers.

Is this normal, something I am not aware of? Usually I just turn up my sound system to cover up the beep as it annoys the hell outta me...

Could be your alarm battery going dead. It beeps when it is on the way out.

I can't imagine this is it, but did your 2nd speed warning get set at a certain speed somehow (page 38 of the car's manual)? It doesn't seem like it since yous said it happens every 6-8 seconds unless you are setting your cruise and the speedo keeps going below and then above the speed setting.

i thought the speed warning is louder?? the "beep" i hear is very faint and can't be noticed if i turn up the volume of the speakers...

I know this is OLD, but I am hearing the EXACT same thing. Ever figure this out?
