Default What is the widest possible tire using 18x8 wheels with ET 35 offset?

Audi's A4 data sheet says that B7 A4s wheels have offsets of 42mm (16" and 17" wheels) and 43mm (18"). The widest stock tire is a 235/40 on the S-Line.

My question...using a wheel with a bigger offset (35mm), do you think it's possible to run a 245 without rubbing the fender liner in tight turns or under suspension compression?

Should be OK. Somewhat depends on the brand of tire though (tread width can vary by up to .7")

Yep, BFG KDWs will rub in a 245. Very wide shoulder.

I ran 255/35 Kumho Ecsta on 18x8.5 35mm offset. No problems.
