Wheel Spacer Question

Wheel Spacer Question
I have an 06 A4 with stock 18 (rs4 style) wheels and am looking to get spacers to widen the stance a little. I measured about 12mm for the rear and 5mm for the front. Has anyone added spacers to similar setup? What size did you use?

There's no problem with spacers
Just make sure your lug bolts are long enough for the additional width. There are some good quality spacers like H&R out there.
Spacers got a bad rap from the guys running really wide spacers. I occasionally run 5mm spacers on the rear of my A4 with 35mm offset wheels and it makes it look great - pushes the wheels out just enough to fill in the space.
I wouldn't run them on the track, but on the street there's no issue.

I have the B7S4 BBS wheels 18x8 et43 on my car. >
Although it's a B6 A4, the clearance should be the same.
I am running 10mm Front & 15mm Rear spacers.
Tires are 235/40/18 Toyo T1r.
If your wheels are the same size/offset, you can fit the same spacers.
By the way, the ECS 10mm spacers have the full hubcentric ring, not just an angled part like the H&R 10mm do. I found it to be much easier to mount the wheels with them.

Are they required to run BBS CHs ?
the CH looks so great i was thinking of getting a set for my B7 Avant, but i'm not too keen on having rub or fitment issues, and i'm not to keen on running spacers either.
I've got the factory sport springs (-20mm all around). Are there rub or other fitment issues on the S4-fitment BBS wheels?

Get the real BBS CHs for the width/stance
The original 18" BBS CH wheels that fit Audi are 18 x 8.5 ET 35 where the Audi version of the wheel is an 18 x 8 ET 43. Neither one requires a spacer, but the real BBS CHs fill out the fender better and give you a wider stance because of the offset/width without spacers.
The pictures below should help...

There are other visual differences between the two. The Audi version doesn't have the 'Motorsport' script on them. Also the Audi version eliminated the holes between the lug openings making it more plain.
