Sorry for being new to the forum and I really didnt know where to post the message. I had my subs ported into my old 97 A4 and the sound was decent. These installers ported the subs from the trunk into the A4 cabin behind the back seats. I realized the poor bass was due to the steel that cut off a 1/3 of the bass from coming into the cabin. I noticed that my 2006 A4 has even more steel reinforcing the trunk. I hope you understand what my situation was and now I met with a similiar problem. What is the best way to get good bass throughout the cabin without losing a lot of trunk space? I have 2 12" Alpines that would defintely take 2/3 of my trunk if I made a box. Anyone else had good results with sub installation (clean bass, no trunk rattling) with the new B7 A4?

IMO i like 10" subs more then 12" subs. Not to mention I am not a fan of alpine but to each his own. Also unless a box is ported 100% correct and used right it sucks. I suggest a sealed air box and just use that. Make sure the specs for the inside volume are correct to the what Alpine says
