Will Revo Software Reflash be more undetectable than an APR chip??
I'm looking to leasing an A4 Avant 2.0 and I want to chip. Revo seems logical since it's a software reflash, correct?

APR is the only company with lockout. Revo can be switched...
if the dealer has access to an SPS device which many dealership techs have so they would know you are chipped if the car responds to an SPS. APR prevents this intrusion from being able to occur. cheers! Mike

Good thing the four dealers in my area don't have an SPS . . .
I highly think that you're overestimating how many dealers have aftermarket switching tools on hand. I doubt that any of them would personally invest in a product that only serves to **** off their clientele and deny income from warranty work.

I dont think they would invest in them. I think many employees have them anyways...
due to being chipped. The old SPS units are a dime a dozen. Check with all the techs and it's not uncommon to have one with an SPS. I agree it'll probably take a year or so for the new ones to be as prolific. Probably not the hugest issue, but since the OP asked specifically about stealth if one wanted more stealth they could look into the APR with lockout. Perhaps Revo may some day come out with this too. Maybe GIAC too. cheers! Mike

LOL...this is absolutely not true. Unless a dealer has the code...
there is simply no possible way to activate the switching. You can play with the cruise control all you want and absolutely nothing happens...no lights, no switching...nothing. Only when the correct code is entered does the swithing process become activated. If a person failed to lock out their program than sure the dealer could switch the programs but that would be the fault of the owner of the car not locking the program. cheers! Mike
