A couple of photos ... it is Monza Silver ... bluer than it appears in the photos. Only option was the sport package, on top of Canadian premium configuration. And oh yes ... the Stasis ECU upgrade. It does make a difference

Looks great! I can't wait for VMR to get the V708s in so I can have those wheels. How does it ride with the sports package and the 19s?

I'm very happy with the ride --- I did the quick run to Portland last week, a total of 600 miles down and back I5. There are some really ugly sections of that highway with a lot of frost breaks, rough pavement, etc. When I do that drive in my 911 it is a painful experience -- I've got an upgraded Damptronics suspension on that car for track use so it is even stiffer than stock.

With the A4, it was very definitely stiffer than the allroad, which has a big boat-like ride. I can feel the pavement faults, and know when I am on the rough stuff. But it was quite manageable and more than offset by the tight handling when I do get into the curves.

Around town I am aware of the stiffness on typical rough city pavement, but it is not a problem. If I never drove the car hard and I was worried about having a plush ride, it might be. But the whole point of the car is to have a higher performance driving experience.

Absolutely worth the upgrade, in my opinion.

What do you think of the transmission? Are you using auto mode or tip mode?

I tend to use it a lot in tip mode, though depends on driving. I just came in from running an errand and had it in tip. Ran the engine up to higher RPM as I went from 1st to 2nd and was pleased with the snap in the response as I shifted up.

On the highway when I am working my way through traffic (don't get me going on "keep right except to pass" abusers), I use tip a lot -- gives me a lot better control than in auto mode.

This is a much, much better transmission than the five speed tip that was in my allroad.

Wish they made this car in either a full DSG or a real manual!!
