2011 A4 trunk need help badly
Just got my new 2011 A4. Eveything was great till I went to put the golf clubs in the trunk --- where they belong. They don't fit transversely. Does anyone have pictures of a 2010 trunk. If you could take them for me I would appreciate it. I seem to remember putting them in the trunk in the 2010 and they fit fine laying across the the very rear of the trunk closest to the latch. What appears to be the problem is that they moved a large heat sink to the drivers side behind the wheel well and put a cover over it which takes up a lot of room. The area behind the passenger wheel well has a small cubby instead of just being open, Maybe the last time I checked for club fit was in the 2009 model. They fit fine in my last car this way 2002 bmw 330ci. My buddies honda civic accommodates his clubs this way as well.
I thought I checked every car I tested before buying if my clubs would fit. My bag is not large. It is just a two strap carry bag.
If you have trouble posting pictures my personal email is ruylede@sbcglobal.net.
If I am right and they made the change I am going to start nagging Audi for the old panels and I will put them in. Surely they have some leftovers laying around. I figure I would have to move the heat sink to where ever it was before.

IIRC the driver's side area has not changed and the panel you are talking about was there on the 2010. Now I've got Navi in mine so perhaps that panel isn't there with non-navi but if memory serves me correctly a loaner car I had is no different.
As for the passenger side many 2010s didn't come with the net but the cut out is the same regardless. I installed the net on the 2010 I have and the cubby didn't need replacing.
Perhaps post pics up of what your's looks like.
Good luck,
P

Mine has the DVD based Navigator and (I believe) the B&O amplifier inside the hatch on the left side.

Look at this subwoofer install in a 2010 S4 by "kyee". He moved the electronics out of the way on the drivers side of trunk. The B&O amp has heat sink fins on it. The 2011 looks the same as the 2010.

thanks
to all the posts. Bad memory on my part. I can fit my clubs in if I take out the woods and angle them in. I had them stolen out of my garage last summer and did recover them at a local used sporting goods store. My buddy found them for me when he was looking around. the person that stole them did not even bother to take my bag tag off.

This is a pet peeve of mine. I like to keep my clubs in the car at all times. They currently fit straight across in my 535 and the G37 I test drove - but will not in the A4.
